1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used through orivahealth.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Oriva Health, a brand (DBA) of Deolify Health and Research LLC. Clinical services referenced on the Site are provided separately by Carvalho de Oliveira Medicine PLLC. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Oriva Health.
This Site is an informational and marketing website. It is not a patient portal, and it is not intended for the submission of medical or health information.
2. The Site is not medical care
Using this Site — including joining the waitlist — does not create a physician–patient relationship and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If and when you become a patient of the clinical practice, separate privacy practices (including, where applicable, a Notice of Privacy Practices governing protected health information) will apply to information collected in the course of your care. This policy covers only information collected through this Site.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you join the waitlist or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you submit — typically your name and email address.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the Site. This may involve cookies or similar technologies used to operate and understand use of the Site.
We do not intend to collect health information through this Site. Please do not submit medical history, symptoms, or other sensitive health details through the waitlist form or general contact channels.
4. How we use your information
- To add you to our waitlist and communicate with you about the practice, its availability, and related updates;
- To respond to your inquiries;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
5. How we share information
Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including our email and marketing platform (MailerLite), our website hosting provider (Netlify), and our analytics provider (Google Analytics). These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Oriva Health, our patients, or others.
Business transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Email communications
If you join the waitlist, you may receive emails from us about the practice. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email, or by contacting us. Certain administrative messages may still be sent as necessary.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the Site to function. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed and general location and device information. We use this information for analytics only, and not for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Site works.
8. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details in Section 14. You may also unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. We will respond to rights requests as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is therefore nothing to opt out of in that respect; if this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; request deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (which, as noted above, we do not do). You may exercise these rights by contacting us, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will verify your request as required by law.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, as well as the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for example, to join the waitlist and receive emails), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site, and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from your own; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party site you visit.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
